The beautiful Austrian resort of Ehrwald is in a fantastic
location close to the famous Zugspitze Glacier, which
borders Bavaria. Ehrwald has some lovely cafes and restaurants
and enjoys a lively, bustling atmosphere, with good
shopping options.

There are lots of breathtaking walks, hikes, climbs,
mountain biking and other activites in the close vicinity,
and a short trip to the famous Inn River near Innsbruck
will ensure fast and furious water action.
Hike: With an almost unlimited number of trails,
the keen hiker and walker is spoilt for choice. There
are meadowland trails and hiking trails as well as climbing
trails.
Mountain Bike: There is a wide range of terrain
for all abilities from challenging gravel trails, to narrow
forest tracks, to wide paths.
River Rafting: The Inn is one of the best rafting
rivers with massive waves and heavy rollers alternating
with quieter stretches. The rafting tour is suitable
for both advanced and beginners.
Golf: A new 9 hole golf course with a difference
has recently opened. Located below the unique backdrop
of the Wetterstein and Germany's highest mountain, the
Zugspitze, the course has been prepared to the highest
standard. A must for anyone interested in golf.

Ehrwald is a superb resort offering guaranteed snow
and no less than 195kms of skiing including neighbouring
resorts reachable by ski bus. Fantastic for all grades
of skier with 35 blue, 31 red & 11 black runs.
Your lift pass entitles you to use any of the nine ski
areas in the Zugspitze Ski Circuit. The Sonnenburg Hotel
is located directly on the slopes of Sonnenlifte ski
area.
The areas of Lermoos, Biberwier, Ehrwalder Alm and Zugspitze
Glacier are all within a 5 to 15 minute journey of your
hotel. All in all a fantastic ski area for all grades
of skiers.
Activities include skiing, snowboarding, cross country
skiing, ice skating, swimming, tobogganing, horse-drawn
rides, winter hiking on cleared paths and snow shoe
hiking.
